I believe we indeed witnessed the entire story. The beginning showed the cat's ultimate goal of pooping in the toilet. The climax displayed the cat simultaneously failing to land it's poop in its goal with a calamitous fall. Our hero then concludes by analysing its error and then attempting to cover up the evidence.
